I have my bias though I tend to forget it every time I decide to open an article. Don't open it, if it doesn't concern you, like how our old man preach us not to open our mouth if there's nothing good to say.
I guess it is something one must do to survive LJ. And it satisfying to know (and to see) that a lot listens. And practices.
I saw this old post from
aatash 's journal. It's basically JPop vs KPop, while doing some random fanfic browsing. I was so surprised to see the results. And I couldn't help but comment.
And it still isn't enough. Having done that poll a few months back, who knows if I'll get any replies?
My meddlesome-troubled-agitated-excited-amused nature is finally awake.
I just want to share some piece of my mind.
First, I love my Jpop, Jdoramas, Animes and anything that has to do with J-stuffs. It's my first love.
Anime lured me to Jpop. MatsuJun lured me to Arashi. And the list goes on. I'm forever doomed.
*Clarifications I want to reiterate: Ohno-chan is my Ichiban. And I am a fan of both Jpop and Kpop.
Second, I am now loving Kpop.
No, it hasn't reached the point of as Jpop madness (and I would still prefer Jpop over Kpop for some reasons I'll need to write a different article for ---- though let's settle it as JPop is my First Love, and it never dies) but it has come to the decent level of appreciating, fangirling *selected* Kpop artists and following them. Making an effort to follow them.
I find reading comments from haters (much to my disgust) normal whenever I read forums. It's inevitable, one thing I've come to accept.
On the journal entry I read, fans discussed how, why and what made them love their current Ichiban. I kinda remember how I first got myself into this wonderful mess called fandom. It was full of warm, light-hearted comments, friendly comparison, open minded retorts (no bashing, no haters*), funny personal experiences and unforgettable firsts.
I love it when people converse and exchange opinions. Embracing someone else's inclination especially of it's different from yours is tough. Something I understand.
In my own opinion, Jpop fans (or those who had Jpop for starters) are more tamed and so-much-less-of-a-freak than Kpop fans.
Yes, by freak I meant, Fan + Lunatic = fanatic = freak.
Fanatic. And c'mon guys, I am not saying rabid am I?
Don't get me wrong though as it can be positive or negative.
And believe me, I can be both.
One thing is for sure though, I love you people! Spread the love.
You make my blood boil out of happiness!
I sure am in an awesome mood today.
