There's nothing like picking up paperwork first thing in the morning. I drove to the PLDT-Smart Found's office in Makati yesterday morning by myself, while sniffling forlornly at the world, to pick up papers (and money, woohoo!) and submit more documents. After this bunch of docs is done, they'll have to go back to Makati again. I don't think I'm going to be doing that trip. HMPH! Haha.
I managed to get back in time for my 11:30 class. I wouldn't actually have minded skipping it (*gasp, so early in the semester*) because my teacher (L.L.) is notorious for being extremely boring and not actually teaching you anything. Signs pointed toward disaster today when she called her subject "commonsensical" - to her that translated to "immediately applicable", whereas to me that became "so why do I need to pay to learn it." Aw, too early in the sem to bitch about these things. The class wasn't actually bad, just kind of slow-paced, and I'm guessing it's also because we're still in the warm-up stage.
Theo teacher saddens me, because he wont give any make-up work for whatever we miss in the time that we're away in Australia. This by itself isn't the end of the world, because typically we don't miss too much class for tournaments. This Australs is going to be different though, because of the additional week of quarantine we'll be subjected to upon our return. In total we'll be gone for 3 weeks of class - practically the entirety of July. As it is that means we're maxing out our cuts, but at the same time not getting make-up work? :-S. We're still talking to OSA, and there will be a meeting with ADAA about it, so hopefully they can help us make sure we get some kind of chance to submit work early or to complete it when we return.
Otherwise, the start of the year is hectic. There are so many things just starting up all at the same time that I admit to being initially overwhelmed. It's kind of awesome though, because now I feel like I can handle it in a non-headless-chicken-way. Or at least, I'm getting there. I can feel it. Is this growth? Sniffle!! Hehe.
