There's something about sifting through email that truly drains me. Blegh, what blegh.
But okay, return to the happy things.
Got a really handy and light netbook - the HP Mini - in my last day in Bangkok. Thank you, thank you Mom. Technically I could've pushed for a full-size machine, but it would have been pretty pointless since I don't need something to take the place of my desktop. The netbook was my mom's recommendation, and I'm currently thanking her for it, since it's only 1kg and my shoulders aren't going to kill me after lugging it around.
In testament to its portability, I put it in my handbag while I was traveling. It made it far easier to just slot it in and out for x-ray machine. It does have a messenger bag with it, but because its small it looks kinda stupid on me.
I'm leaving for Palawan in the morning - heading there with Kel and Jake to spend some time looking over the family's stuff there. Should be a little more work than fun, but will definitely be interesting. I'm actually fascinated with the processes of agricultural development...... I can already see myself walking the km to the farm in the morning, etc. We will probably also get a chance to check out the beach, which is always welcome before summer ends.
When I get back... Australs Tryouts. Damn it, we need to rock that tournament off its little Melbourne socks. I'm psyching myself up for Australs, definitely, because deep in the corest of my core (?whatever) I know that I really want this. Ladeela!
