Double Optimus fun
Recently acquired the Fall of Cybertron Optimus (and Jazz). I'll admit I had some reservations about getting him cos he's posed rather weirdly in the packaging. However, after some convincing from a friend, I got him in the end and just WOW! He may be Deluxe size, and a bit on the dinky side, but he's an INCREDIBLE TOY!
His articulation alone, for a toy of his size, beats any Voyager incarnation of Optimus that I have - I mean the guy can crouch for Primus' sake. And sure, he looks a little dull straight off the card, but its nothing a little panel lining, black wash and silver drybrush can't fix.
And in case you say it sounds like a lot of work - it's not. I did it in an hour, all you need is a metallic red or brown paint marker for the lining, acrylic hobby paint for plastic in black and silver, some paint thinner, and paint brushes. If I, with zero artistic talent, can do it, anyone can.
Besides, look how great they look after.

Up next is FoC Jazz. Mech needs quite a bit of paint apps cos... yeah... he just looks dull and that just aint Jazz's style.
