Right on, let's move on to day three
Day 3 - Favorite Album
Oh wow... umm... Bit of a tough choice since all their albums have a mix of good, ok and not so good songs (and some have downright bad songs). I wish I could say "This Is Us" was my favorite, but as much as I love Straight Through My Heart, Bigger, and If I Knew Then amongst others... we also got that horrid She's A Dream.
I think my top three would be Millennium, Black & Blue, and Unbreakable.
Millennium has this treasure chest of gems, and c'mon, it gave us I Want It That Way - who doesn't know that song?! Biggest song of 1999 anyone? And it gave us Larger Than Life! First ever fan anthem. I can't say there was a song on Millennium I didn't like. Don't Want You Back was kinda bad-ass, Spanish Eyes was essentially a Howie solo XD, and Don't Wanna Lose You Now made me cry on the first listen and still moves me even today
Black & Blue... well it wasn't as epic as Millennium, but it had its gems too: Shape of My Heart, The Call, More Than That... and a personal favorite, What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful). There was a lot I could relate to on this one. The only song I didn't really like on this was Shining Star.
Unbreakable has been criticized for not having any one stand out song, but I really liked the variety of music styles on this one. Probably the only one I didn't feel was Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon. But stuff like Trouble Is, Treat Me Right and Something That I Already Know more than make up for that one. Plus it has Unmistakable - another song that made me cry on the first listen, it's so beautiful.
Out of these three... I might just have to pick Millennium as my all-time favorite.
