Someone should have told Tyler that last bit. He was just walking up to her door after spending the last few hours hearing from Jules about exactly how his Uncle Mason had died. And who or really what had killed him. After how he'd left things with her, Tyler had decided he couldn't let this go another minute without getting answers from his supposed friend who he'd thought could maybe become something more. "We need to talk," he said, skipping the hellos.

"Tyler, hey! Um, you're right, we do need to talk, but let me go first, okay?" Caroline didn't really wait for him to agree before she plowed right on, seriously worried she'd ruined their friendship by rejecting him. "I just wanted to apologize if I've done anything to make you think that I'm looking for a new boyfriend, because honestly, I'm nowhere near over Jake and you definitely deserve someone who's singularly focused on you."

"Fine." She was right, he did, but Tyler was a little more concerned about how she'd been lying to him all this time. "What happened to my Uncle Mason, Caroline?"

It was really unfortunate what a terrible liar Caroline was, but still she walked past Tyler, heading towards her car with a shrug. "What? Did something happen?"

Caroline was kidding herself if she thought Tyler was going to drop this and he could feel his blood boiling with a familiar, yet uncontrollable rage. "He's dead and I want you to tell me what happened."

"I don't..." She shook her head futilely, having no difficulty looking confused.

"Fine, then I'll tell you." Tyler grabbed her by the elbow to make her look at him while he told her what he'd learned from Jules, daring her to correct him. "Stefan and his brother Damon killed him because Stefan and Damon are vampires, just like you!"

Her eyes went wide and she tried to tug her arm out of Tyler's grip. "Who told you that?"

His hand tightened around her elbow, digging hard into her skin, desperate for her to tell him that she'd been telling the truth this whole time and Jules was the liar. "Is it true?"

"Please, just let me explain!" Caroline tried, wincing at his hold and reaching up to push her free hand against his chest.

"He was dead this whole time and you knew!" Tyler accused, shoving her roughly against her car and shaking her shoulders as he lost control of his anger. "How could you, Caroline? You should have told me!"

Her back against the car, she had no where to run as he took his rage out on her. "I'm sorry, Tyler!" Caroline pleaded with him, recognizing that her lies had done this - another ruined relationship dead at her hands and God, was he scary mad.

"I trusted you!" Tyler roared, slamming his fist against the roof of her car hard enough to leave a dent, before letting go of her and stalking off. He didn't know where he was going, but if he kept looking at her tearful face, Caroline was going to die at his hands.

"I'm sorry!" she called after him, covering her face with her hands and leaning heavily against her car, shocked at this turn of events.

Caroline gave herself approximately twenty seconds to get it together before she was in the car her Ford Fiesta and speeding her way over to the Salvatore Estate. It still creeped her out a little that she had memories of this house from before she thought she'd first set foot in the place. Compulsion was totally messed up, but she didn't have time to be weirded out right now and she was storming into the house before she realized it.

"Caroline, I thought I was meeting you at Elena's?" Stefan didn't think anyone would miss the level of upset Caroline was carting around with her, but from what he'd heard, that was the purpose of her whole visit.

"Tyler knows," she told him, taking a deep breath. "He knows about you and Damon and about how Damon killed Mason. I swear to God I didn't say a word!"
