Howdy there ya'll fella Texans! ;o) hee hee. Lots of people were wearing cowboy hats today. Playing Ray and all. Too bad we lost. Badly. :( But anywhoo.
Hoofbeat-ness is moving along. I just wish we had more adds. But I'll THANK THE LORD for Del Mar keeping their full page ad. Also, my story is looking snazzy, the editorials are done. I'm predicting a smooth evening. *knocks on wood*
Speaking of newspapers, I was in the paper recently (
see it here). Apparently no one (including me) noticed it when it ran, except for Buddy's mom. So yea, for Bud's mom reading deep into the local section! ;o)
Bomb threat was rockin' yesterday. :) Missing psychology isn't missing much, plus I was a smart kid and got to the shade early, not to mention that the fence around the tennis court would have prevented any deadly shrapnel from piercing my vital organs. ;o) Worked out quite nicely.
But when we got back, Mr. Wilson actually chose to read & critique my Odyssey essay in class. A bit unnerving, but at least I know how Buddy feels now. It feels kind of nice to know that people can point out all these great word choices, I didn't even think about. ;o)
Anywayz, after school I spent a perfectly thrill-less 2 hours manning the phones for KEDT tonight. But oh my goodness, you guys this the type of dad I have:
There I am bored to tears, minding my own business when the phone rings! So according to tradition, I pick it up and what do I hear? A fine Englishman. Weird, I know. But the guy is being nice and donating money, this is no time to laugh at the accent. So I get down his credit card number, blah blah, and THEN I get to the name. And what name does that finely cultured voice utter? TIM DOWLING!!! Dude, did I scream! *shakes head* So yeah, that's the kind of dad I have, the kind that will call you up and play you for a fool when you're extremely bored. :) hee hee. I love my daddy.
After that hilarious/embarrassing episode, I weaved my way thru the packed streets surrounding St. Patrick's to pay a visit to our recently departed Buddy. ;o) Oh yes, Buddy was quite terrifying in his role of the dead-evil-bloody guy offering poison. Before going in, I saw a sign of rules in Bud's handwriting. For some reason, that made my day. Don't know why. One fruitless cake walk and a compensation fruit cup later, I called it a night and drove home to the sounds of Disney Classics. *sigh*
Tomorrow promises to be jam-packed. Let's see I have
1) King Clean Up at *beeping* 9 in the morning
2) Strategizing for ABC's The Scholar (hee hee so much fun, so much fun!)
3) Sarah's Birthday party
4) and maybe going to that extra credit speaker thing Mr. Wilson talked about... need to check time on that
*sigh* Will be a busy, yet enjoyable day if I do say so myself!
WARNING!!!! As of my next entry, all my entries will be friend's only. Kim's story convinced me. *shudder* so creepy. So consider this fair warning. Comment if you wanna be added! :)
