Not sure what the title has to do with anything.
Ok, funny ha-ha: Aileen and I finally broke down and got a new computer, making sure that we got a few super-spiffy options that will allow us to use this computer for many years doing awesome-tastic graphics oriented stuffs. The computer came to us, we gleefully opened it up and played around with it a bit and then tried installing our copy of photoshop onto the computer... Our unfortunately-too-old-to-be-used-on-a-Mac-that-is-this-new copy of photoshop. Yeah... So, I need to get my claws on a new version of Adobe's Creative Suite software - which is unfortunately a bit out of my budget range, since we just got a computer and I'm going to be going back to school in August.
Oh yeah, I'm going back to school.
On the plus side, once I do scrape together the money to get the software, it will cost me WAAAAY less than it normally would, because I'm a student. Seriously, like $1300 less -- whoa. In any case, this pretty much means that all work on our beloved webcomic has ground to a halt, since we were using photoshop to do all of the finishing work... Yay for another project buried until 'sometime later.'
In Other News:
Walked across the city last weekend (quite literally) so Aileen could see how the marathon route would go as far as hills and such and now my feet huuuuurt. Finally got to walk down Haight Street, and found it to be populated by people who were 90% touristy idiots, 5% bums, 2-3% stupid looking hipsters, and the remainder might have been decent, interesting folks. Destroying icons is an American institution.
