So (I like starting off with this word I've noticed), the other day, I was called up by what I am believing to be the Sous Chef of a restaurant that is opening soon in Oakland, and to whom I had sent a resume not too long ago. This person was calling to notify me that they were going to be conducting open house style interviews M-Th from 10-2 this week. Now, I know that I've already sent them my resume, but I also know that if I don't bring a copy of my resume to the interview, that they won't have one on hand and I'll be screwed, so I need to make sure I have a copy of my resume with me.
No problem, I'll just print one out here and... oh, wait, the printer is out of ink... okay, so I'll just look up nearby office supply stores on teh intrawebz and... oh, well, apparently anything within walking distance is an office supply store specializing in stationary only... well, what about that store called 'Cartridge World' - sounds like a good bet... interestingly enough, they seem to only do ink cartridge refills, well that's confusing... *grumble* fine, I know of a Target that is, like, right across the street from a BART station that I can easily get to (I like Target, there is something comforting about it in that 'like Wal-Mart but not sleazy and evil' sort of way) - and I'm pretty damn sure that Target will have the cartridge I'm looking for... so I gets myself all ready to go out into the world open the door and... the wet, rainy, and-I-have-no-umbrella world... so, I can either wait for the sky to stop falling on the Temescal - or I can get myself soaking wet right before I try to go to an interview...
I seriously don't know if I have bad luck, or I'm just procrastinating due to insane anxiety levels.
For rlz though, it's raining heavier than I've seen it rain all season right now... oh wait it stopped... ah, there it goes again...
grrrrr
