about 10 years too early...

So, I know this is waaaaay far in advance, but for a while now I've planned to adopt a Palestinian child or children when I'm ready to have kids. It's been something I've wanted to do for a while now, seeing as my culture means a lot to me and there are thousands of Palestinian orphans as a result of all the war. I've spent like the last 3 hours researching adoptions in the middle east, and everything I find says it's usually incredibly hard to adopt from Arabic countries. I could barely find any information about adopting Palestinian children, but some middle eastern countries won't let you adopt if you're not Muslim or proven infertile. The statistics show that a countries like Lebanon and Jordan, which have strong Palestinian ties, usually only have about 1-4 adoptions to the U.S. every year. I dunno. I probably sound ridiculous being upset about this close to a decade before I even want kids, but it's something I've been really hoping to be able to do for a while now and realizing that there's a good chance it's going to be impossible is really disheartening.
