Walk In The Park

May 03, 2006 12:06

Went for my first walk to the park today ... not the big one, the little one that's just around the corner. It was the furthest I've been from home since I moved in, and it was a little bit scary.

Maddy led the way and I followed, sticking close to Mum's knee.

When we got there, however, I discovered that all the oaks and maples are dropping their leaves. There was a carpet of crunchy red, orange and yellow leaves to play with. It was great! I ate them, spat them out, jumped around in them and generally had heaps of fun.

Until one got stuck in my beard.

Then I did the only thing I could do - I ran around in circles in a panic until Mum picked it out.

Whew.

When we got home, there was time for some quick hand-chewing then we curled up on the fold out couch and watched a little telly. Now Mum has homework to do ... and I need something else to chew.
