it's a "re-imagining" of the first one, so it's not just a remake, it's a make-over
Pamela Voorhees isn't the killer, Jason is.
Jason has a hockey mask already (if you didn't already know, he didn't get the mask until part III)
Jason's shown running. (if you didn't already know, jason stopped running in part III when he started to become an undead killer instead of a misshapen malcontent without a mother)
Micheal Bay is directing it. (seriously, the only good thing he's done for us is bring us Megan Fox.)
