i've decided that as soon as i'm old enough, i'm running for president.
it doesn't matter whether or not i win or lose, or even make it past the primaries, i really just want to call the fucking FBI and Secret fucking Service every time an online account of mine gets hacked.
seriously.
if a governor left a bunch of important documents in an unlocked car in bad neighborhood, would we feel bad for them if it got stolen? would the FBI etcetera get involved unless it contained matters of national security? probably not, and we'd laugh that governor out of office. but when it happens to be the equivalent situation in an online format -- especially when that method was being used to evade disclosure laws -- why is it that we're supposed to be shocked by that kind of privacy invasion?
doesn't matter much anyway, Obama's going to win. think about it, when was the last time the less-charismatic candidate won? when, in the last 50 years or so, have we voted for the boring guy who doesn't look so good on TV?
at least we can take another step towards pretending to celebrate diversity.
