Video Game Hype

Note: You can just ignore this if you only read this for my serious stuff.

Everyone is excited about Halo 3. Apparently it is amazing, thrilling even the detractors at Penny Arcade. And while I cant say Ive played it, Im more excited for this:

Ah, I have fond memories of running around as a medic giving AIDS to enemies in Team Fortress Classic. (Ok, so it was called a social disease.)

Im actually thankful that the gritty, ill fated TF2 was replaced with a more cartoony take on it. Apparently, if you get killed, the camera does a freeze frame action shot of who did it, which sounds hilarious. Additionally, persistent stats tell you how you are improving, which, at least for me being not very good at shooters, would be welcome. A significant chance from the past is classes having differing health to start, not a standard percentage mark. I think it will be good for newcomers to realize why they are dieing at an embarrassing rate.

Ah, the joy of not having anything to do.
