[Arcueid doesn't like this thing.

Arcueid really wants to kick it into the stratosphere. She can't bring herself to do it, though...so she's just going to squat down beside it and poke at it...until curiosity gets the better of her and she wants to open it.

Hey, if somebody left it sitting out in the street it's either got something good inside or something stupid. Either way she wants to see.]

[Why would you do that, what did the suitcase ever do to you :(

But it flips open like a normal suitcase, yes. And inside...

Is a miniature doll.

Luck is one of Arc's many skills...funny considering my own Z-rank luck. makemebreakfast December 19 2011, 00:34:21 UTC
[Arcueid carefully picks it up.]

Why would something like this be in here? It's cute, though. Just who's is this?

[Now she's going to start turning that suitcase over to try to find SOMETHING that might denote it's owner.]

my luck rank isn't Z and I'm happy about that despite playing chars who do... :v; puppeteerings December 19 2011, 08:43:01 UTC
[There's nothing on, around, or in the suitcase that may hint towards an owner.

Right now, it's just Beaver Street, the chilling winter air, Arc, and that catty doll.

[With a harumph, Arcueid tosses the briefcase aside. She then focuses her attention on the doll.]

It's cute...[Is all Arucied can really think to say as she examines it. She's already got somewhat of an attachment to the little thing.]

[nya.........

It's pretty well made! Even if it look like it's in pain. :<

So.

What are the odds that she'll make off with it, if no one shows up in the next few minutes or so?]

[Arcueid does think it's cute...and oddly familiar...but...

It's not hers, and she doesn't wanna just run off with it. Though she still kind of wants to take it, AND take this briefcase that just doesn't seem right.

She'll likely mull it over for the next few minutes...and if nobody shows up she'll probably at least take the doll. Maybe launch the suitcase into the stratosphere too.]

[Oh boy, we can't have that.

So have a voice speak up behind you!]

...Hm. may I help you, miss? [You'll find a woman in a orange/brownish leather coat with glasses and red hair tied into a ponytail, looking at you with curiosity. ...Caught red-handed? Maaaybe, but if she's the owner of it, she sure seems nonchalant about what she's just witnessed!]

[Arcueid starts, bristling with surprise. She admonishes herself silently for being so focused on that stupid thing that she let her guard down and quickly spins around, standing up to full height. The little doll is hidden behind her back, though.]

Uh...hi! Is that your briefcase? It's creepy.

Oh!... Yes, it is. The town must have mailed it back to me while I was out, thank you for pointing it out. Why is it creepy, though? Doesn't it look ordinary? [she either didn't notice or decided to play along.

knowing touko it's likely the latter, but yes moving on!!]

[Whether or not Arcueid noticed Touko avoiding the subject on purpose will be up to debate for centuries by people who don't exist.

Either way, Arcuied continues to give the woman a perplexed yet slightly uninterested look. It might be just a tad obvious that she's doing this on purpose.]

Yea, it feels like something strange is emanating from it that most normal people wouldn't notice.

Really? I may have to work on that. Can you describe that "something strange", miss? [It's ok Touko can play along...]

[Arcueid finally drops the game...obviously not very good at it anyway.]

It feels like it's wrapped in a power that feels all too familiar, and makes me want to get rid of it.

Oh, so you have a good sense for the occult, at least in a sense. But please don't destroy it, I don't have the materials here to remake another one. ['o'] It didn't give you any troubles, did it? It shouldn't, if you haven't tried opening it...

[Well, now she's caught. Though, she didn't even actually attempt to open it, it just popped open when she poked it. Still, she pulls the little figure out from behind her back and holds it out toward the woman.]

I didn't actually have to try to open it, it popped open when I poked it. And then this was there.

Now what is that case?

[Not that she particularly needs to know, but she's really curious at this point. The authoritative tone she takes with the various vampires in Mayfield creeps into her voice a bit with the question, hoping that might intimidate the woman into answering her question.]
