Bump off Lover - Identifying a Killer
As I mentioned in my last post. I started watching Bump off Lover. It's a suspense and mystery drama.
Since Resie seems to enjoy watching the show fuck with me as I try to figure out who killed the twin... I'll leave my running speculation public.
Before I get into that though... I have to take back all the bad things I've said about Angela. Well... other than she's too freaking anorexic. She's not a bad actress. It's the shitty idol drama writing, not her. She is actually pretty good playing the twins in BoL. Granted the dead twin is still beyond crazy...
So in the first two episodes both twins are alive and they are setting up some of the complex relationships and giving possible motivations to people.
These are the character's connections and my suspects to date:
Zou Ke Qiang: NOT A SUSPECT. So far he seems clean but everyone is suspicious to me so... I'm watching him lol. He seems to just be around a lot and saves Yi Zhen when she is kidnapped and put on a boat in the middle of the lake (she is deathly afraid of water and can't swim). He is Zou Ke Jie's older brother and guardian.
Zou Ke Jie: SUSPECT. While he IS suspicious... I think he is too obvious of a choice. He is the twins classmate and gets into all sorts of trouble. He is bullied and embarrassed almost everyday. He is in love with Yi Jing (the dead twin) and stalks her sort of... it's creepy but I don't think he does it in a harmful way. He fled from the site of her death and it was dark but it looked like he might have had some blood on his arm. BUT I believe he was there to protect her because he knew there are people who want to kill her from the creepy emo kids website. Both he and Yi Jiang wanted to kill themselves for different reasons but claimed to have changed their minds finding comfort in their new friendship. I don't believe he could hurt her so if he is responsible it was likely an accident.
Yang Ren You: SUSPECT. The most obvious choice so far. He was a teacher at the school until he was fired by the twins mother (the principle) for sexually assaulting Yi Zhen. He claims to be framed and that he's innocent. But he lurks around a lot and was even lurking at the lake when Yi Zhen was kidnapped. His ex? girlfriend is the twins' teacher and he shows up in front of her often. He ran from the scene of the crime covered in blood.
Zhong Yu Wen: SUSPICIOUS. The twins' teacher. I have no reason to think she would kill the twin yet. But she consorts with the ex-teacher and lied to the cops about seeing him. She is covering up something but not likely her own murder. She saw both Ke Jie and Ren You run from the scene.
The dad's mistress: CLEARED. I was suspicious that the twins' father's mistress got jealous of him running off every time his daughters needed him. BUT the start of episode 3 shows that she seems to have been with the father, being all dirty, while she was murdered.
Lin Jia Wei: NOT A SUSPECT. Yi Zhen's boyfriend and Yi Jiang's crush. I have no reason to believe he would kill her, but he puts me off a bit. It took him a pretty long time to get to the new building when Yi Zhen called for help and said her sister was in danger.
Yi Jing: SUSPECT. She WAS suicidal. She is in love with her sister's boyfriend and seems to get forgotten about, even by her own twin. While she did seem to change her mind when she bonded with Ke Jie over their mutual suffering in life. It IS possible she decided to go through with it.
