[Lays out a few things-- revival herb, a life orb, and a few berries.]

Did you use chocobos to find chests too?

You're accumulating quite the collection. Where did you find all of these?

Most chests were easy enough to get, even without chocobos. But sometimes they would hide items in their forests, and they were more likely to let us take them if they already knew us.

Walking around. [He always does :|b]

Chocobos didn't have forests in Gran Pulse, but they would always point somewhere if we got close to a chest. If we let them do as they wanted, they'd dig things up for us.

I did find a few items on the road, but this tower is particularly full of abandoned objects, for some reason.

That sounds useful. Though it makes me wonder how exactly they knew about the chest's or the buried object's presence. Did they seem interested by your equipment or your supplies?

Travelers lose a lot of things, looks like.

They didn't, but they were more interested in the chocobo chick in my friend's hair. It's not like we had much on us anyway.

That sort of carelessness is impressive. Either that, or the pants sold here have flimsy pockets.

The chocobo chick in your friend's hair?

They don't use bags, obviously.

It-- it sounds weird, doesn't it? But he does have one in his hair.

That would be strange, considering bags are cheap enough to buy them for hundreds of newcomers.

That doesn't sound weird, that sounds adorable. Did it come from a farm, or was it found in the wild?

Maybe they find themselves better than the newcomers?

He bought it for his son at the Euride Gorge, if I remember right. Chocobos in Cocoon are farm-raised ones.

For his son? How sweet. If they start spending time and training together often, he should have a good mount in a few years. That's quite the practical present. [Ah, the joys of living in a world where chocobos are not obsolete.]

I think it would live in envy of the bigger Pulse chocobos though.

If it starts living off the same diet, it might be able to catch up to them, unless the size difference is particularly great.

I'd hope so, or it would feel left out. Even the chicks are larger than it is.

Even so, strength has nothing to do with size. It might not grow quite as big, but who says it won't be able to outrun them all easily?

Yeah, that's true. They'll have to train it young.

Do they know a chocobo trainer? Or will they have to do so themselves?
