50th moon [video/action]

[Cecil's hair part of the image, once it appears. It seems to fall on it, in fact. But why would he be bent over the Pokégear?]

Everyone, I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas. I hope everyone will find joy in their lives today.

[A beat.]

...I would also like it if someone came to open the door to the Breeding Center, as Bartz's present is ( Read more... )

really filthy rich, cecil gives the best presents, actually happy, probably looking stupid, his poor back

[So her present got stared at for what had to be a while, but she does intend to use it and opens a feed to say her thanks, but then...yeah. That's one very big box.]

What the hell did you get him that's that big?

They had those strange Ditto-shaped couches at the Department Store, and since he's a mimic...

[He merely didn't think about the weight.]

[Didn't think about the weight or about having one of his team carry it, apparently. And a couch? Really?]

You know he's probably not going to be able to take that with him if he leaves town, right?

He has a room in the Breeding Center. I've no doubt it'll be safe here even if he leaves.

[The list of his Pokémon that can carry it is short. The list of his Pokémon that he would trust to do so is even shorter.]

Provided nothing happens to the building. Goldenrod's close enough to the coast that it could get bad storms if the conditions are right.

[The list of things that could happen is much longer than Cecil's list of carrying Pokémon, that's for sure. Johto just loves to screw with them.]

...If something happens to the Breeding Center, there'll be more pressing matters than a ruined couch.

[All those poor Pokémon and eggs!]

That depends on how full it is. Most coastal cities are evacuated if the storms are too strong.

[The Pokémon would probably react better to the storms than the humans, actually.]

Olivine was not evacuated, last spring. They only had us dig trenches.

[Those who know Surf, at least. Surfing Pikachus!]

That wasn't a very strong storm, Cecil. And Olivine's probably more prepared for them than Goldenrod would be, considering they're right at the waterline.

[Yes, but most can run to higher ground if need be. Or be carried. Either works.]

However, where could the people of Goldenrod evacuate? The road to Azalea follows the coastline. I suppose a storm would cause the Sudowoodo to flee, but even that path takes some time to go inland.

[Or flown, that'd go even faster.]

It's still faster than going to Azalea; it took me five days to get through the forest, but it's only a four day walk to Ecruteak.

[Sure, but if there's lightning storms going at the time, that might not be the safest idea.]

...Has anyone ever tried to go from Goldenrod to route 32 directly through the mountains? That might be safer, if there are any paths.

[...Gliscors, with their dual Flying/Ground-types?]

Not that I've heard of. They might be too high to fly over.

[Could work...if the lightning doesn't travel to the one they're carrying.]

Flying could be difficult, perhaps, but between the Rock- and Ground-types there might be a way to climb...

[...It might have to be limited to a few types only.]

Maybe, but finding out that there's no way to climb them in the middle of a storm wouldn't be the best idea.

[No water or flying/normal types, that's for sure...even if lightning would hurt everything else anyway.]

True, though I'm almost tempted to go explore them whenever we get warmer weather.

[But it'd be an awesome way to get rid of all those annoying Wingulls.]
