...

[Normally she's not honestly pinged by philosophical musings... but she's lost a lot of her friends lately, and it's been weighing on her more than she likes to show.]

... Have you lost a lot of people?

...I did. People from home, people I knew in another world, people I've met here... I'm starting to tire of it, to be frank.

Yeah... I think we're all starting to tire of it.

You'd think whoever is responsible would have received the message by now.

I'm pretty sure whoever's responsible doesn't care.

[Or, as she was beginning to suspect... liked watching people run themselves in emotional circles as the world arbitrarily rewarded or punished them with the presence or nonpresence of their friends and enemies. It's starting to get... tiring, and Heather's sure she's not the only one that feels that way.]

Should we ever find them, I'm quite certain we'll make them care, whether they wish it or not.

[Cecil will even buy enough blunt objects for everyone, if he has to.]

Now that's an idea I can get behind.

[She's been treated very well by this place.... part of the time. In all honesty, she's a little bit conflicted because hell, the place gave her father back to her, she SHOULD be grateful. ... But on the other hand, it also landed her with two of the worst reminders of her past POSSIBLE in the space of one week.]

[And because she's Heather... her usual approach to feeling conflicted is to make herself feel better by hitting something.]

Far be it from me to advocate gratuitous violence, but goodness knows it'd be satisfying.

[Strange new world? Used to it, and the lack of amnesia is a nice touch. Lack of powers? It's not as though they truly need them. All sorts of people to meet? Where can he sign up?

Over a year without knowing his world's fate or seeing his son? The word "gratuitous" does not apply anymore".]

Yeah... seriously.

God knows I've got a few bones to pick with it.

And I have questions that deserve answers. Detailed and complete answers.

I can think of a few, myself.

Like why the hell does it like jerking people around by giving them friends and family and then TAKING THEM AWAY and giving them enemies instead?

I'm lucky enough not to have met any old enemeies here yet. Though I doubt this means that whoever brings us here has standards.

[Still, word to everything else.]

I'd say that you are giving Johto too much personality for a landmass, but by this point I'm tempted to agree.

You think the landmass is responsible for bringing us here?

The landmass or the people or the Pokémon or the gods or the tress or all of them at the same time, for all we know.
