[Cecil can seen, standing in the middle of a Pokémart. A Pokémart that is not Violet's. He's supposed to be in Violet. Why isn't he in Violet?]

Mahogany has what is quite possibly the worst selection of souvenirs I've even seen, and that includes the one time when Palom wanted me to choose between a pig and a toad who turned out to be his classmates ( Read more... )

really filthy rich, was once a king, that was lame, responsible adult, having a ride is great, oh yay badge!, probably looking stupid

I've actually been meaning to get a fishing rod at some point.

[He's wanted to get in on that raging water dragon action since Squall first called out Seifer.]

When do you plan to go to Blackthorn? I was hoping to watch that battle, if only to have an idea how tough Clair is.

I can bring you one, then. These look sturdier than what I've bought in Cherrygrove.

[And then never used. Details.]

Not today, or even within the week, I'm afraid. We've been invited to a house-building activity, and I'd rather not miss it.

I thank you.

[Pffft. It's not like Cecil can't spare the money.]

Ah. No matter. I don't mind waiting. It isn't as if there's a time limit.

[Wait a second.]

Did you just say "we?"

You're always welcome.

[So very true.]

...Well, I was invited, and I might have mentioned that I knew where to find more would-be builders that are not teenagers. Thus, the invitation was somewhat extended.

[Were they under different circumstances, Kain would be less accepting of all of this free stuff, but since Cecil is rich and would buy it for him anyway, he may as well show his gratitude, as well as direct his friend to things that would actually be useful to him..]

I'd be happy to help, but I would prefer to know about these things before you drag me into them.

[See, the plan had been to become rich and spoil all the younger warriors of Cosmos silly. And then most of them went and disappeared. So now Cecil needs a new spoiling outlet.]

I was planning to tell you after you'd earned a badge or two. I did tell him it would have to wait a little, after all. Besides, I only confirmed my own presence, not anyone else's.

[And who better to spoil than the people from your actual home world? As a side note, dang, all of them did leave! It's just Kain, Bartz, Tifa (sorta), Zidane, and Lightning, now.]

You won't have too long to wait. My team is plenty prepared. [Mun just hasn't gotten around to asking for mod permission, yet.] Since I know about it now, you can give me a few details on just what we'll be doing.

[Cloud x2, Squall x2, Zidane, Firion, Warrior of Light, Tidus, Laguna... That's a lot of losses.]

Leon is renovating a house to serve as a home for the people from his world. However, most of them are teenagers. Thus, he'll need help with the heavy lifting.

[What is it about Dissidia people that makes them not stick around?]

Ah. Interesting that his world seems to pick from that particular age group. Though it's probably appropriate, considering what this place is like.

[It's a curse caused by our lack of Gilgamesh, of course.]

It is rather... sanitized. Harmless, almost, except for what other arrivals bring in. A world where children are as free as they wish, yet receive great responsibilities...

[Someone should to do something about that. A world without Gilgamesh is clearly not a world worth living in.]

I wouldn't call it harmless. The Shedinja weren't exactly foreigners, after all. But it is very safe, compared to the other worlds we've been in. It seems like an ideal world for those coming of age, where the burdens are lighter and everything more forgiving. It's almost strange that there are so many adults here.

[Tried. No results. *sobs*]

Is it? They do have a fully functional society to support, after all. ...For a certain meaning of fully functional, that is.

Hmm... I suppose you have a point. Still, I can't help but feel that the proportions are a little off.

[Even when I mentioned our Bartz!]

...Yet at the same time, there seem to be very few young children. There's Rydia, of course, but otherwise...

[Video] I'm sure you do. delusorydragoon July 11 2011, 00:40:06 UTC
[Argh, how can a Gilgamesh not join?!]

That may have something to do with the fact that you can only become a trainer if you're ten or over. Summoning young children and adjusting their age appropriately might be more difficult than summoning those already of age.

[...No swords.]

From what I can tell, that age adjustment seems to mean very little. Especially since people call fall asleep for a week and awaken looking years older than they were.
