“The Meadows text messages show you an administration that was completely eaten up with a digital virus called QAnon,” former Jan. 6th committee staffer Denver Riggleman says.
“It's also a look into the psyche of the Republican Party today.” https://t.co/kSNpuNfaX7 pic.twitter.com/Q7Z5LAzYAw

Денвер Ринглман - бывший республиканский конгрессмен, проигравший на праймериз в 2020 MAGA-экстремисту Бобу Гуду https://puppet-djt.livejournal.com/172208.html?thread=672432#t672432

Riggleman’s opponent, former Campbell County supervisor and Liberty University employee Bob Good, is running as a staunch social conservative. He’s campaigning on his belief in a traditional view of marriage, ending birthright citizenship and opposing abortion for any reason - even if the mother’s life is in danger.
“The Republican Party, when you look at the creed to protect civil liberties and religious liberties, could be the most inclusive party in the country,” Riggleman said in an interview. “And you know, why aren’t we a big-tent party? Why aren’t we looking at liberties first? Why aren’t we allowing people to live the way they want to live and stopping the government from reaching into every aspect of our lives?”
The district, which spans from the Washington, D.C., exurbs all the way down the North Carolina border, is larger in size than New Jersey. Delegates - roughly 3,500 in number - may have to drive as far as three hours to cast a ballot. And the location of the convention likely benefits Good - who lives near the Tree of Life Ministries in Lynchburg, where the delegates will gather. <...>
The road to Saturday’s convention began in July 2019, when Riggleman officiated the wedding of two men who had volunteered for his campaign. His wife posted a picture of the wedding on her Facebook page.
Several GOP county committees in the district later voted to censure the congressman. The 5th District committee also debated a censure motion, but it did not pass. Good entered the race last September and has said he was recruited by Republicans in the district.
The vote will be a signal about whether socially conservative positions out of step with the majority of Americans are still considered wedge issues for GOP voters. But Good, who stepped down from the Liberty University athletic department to run, has said his opposition to Riggleman extends beyond his willingness to officiate a gay marriage.
“What does Denver stand for?” Good said in a radio debate between the two candidates last month. “What conservative Republican issue is he strong on? What can you point to? He’s out of step with the base of the party on life. He’s out of step on marriage. He’s out of step on immigration. He’s out of step on health care, on climate, on drug legalization.”

According to the records, the call came from 202-456-1414, the publicly available number for the White House. Like many businesses, outgoing calls from the White House do not show a specific extension. The call was placed in the late afternoon, shortly after former President Donald Trump posted a video message on social media telling the rioters at the Capitol, “go home, we love you, you’re very special,” at 4:17pm.
It’s unclear what, if any, connection exists between the White House and the rioter, including whether the call was made by mistake or whether the call went to voicemail.
The call was first disclosed by Denver Riggleman in an interview with CBS’ 60 Minutes. Riggleman is a former Republican congressman who left his job working as a technical adviser for the January 6 committee in April.
CNN first learned about the call earlier this year and is revealing the rioter’s identity for the first time.
The cell phone belonged to a 26-year-old Trump supporter from Brooklyn, New York named Anton Lunyk, who traveled to Washington DC the night before January 6 with two friends, Francis Connor and Antonio Ferrigno, according to multiple sources familiar with the investigation, as well as a search of public records.

После ареста Луник пошел на сотрудничество со следствием и получил легкое наказания.

Defense says the "civil war" reference by Lunyk ahead of Jan 6 was social media chatter.. arguing if Lunyk truly wanted civil war, he'd have gone to Capitol "equipped" for battle

The Lunyk pre-Jan 6 references to "civil war" do not appear to have impacted this sentence.

Prosecutors referenced it. Judge asked about it.

But this is a low-level sentence
