In January 2018, Right Wing Watch broke the story that lawyers for religious-right legal giant Alliance Defending Freedom bragged at an anti-choice conference that the 15-week abortion ban that had been introduced in Mississippi was based on ADF’s model language. ADF lawyers said the law was the next step in the group’s strategic plan to “eradicate” Roe v. Wade through the courts

One of the nation’s most prominent religious conservative lawyers played a critical behind-the-scenes role in the lawsuit that Republican state attorneys general filed in December in a last-ditch effort to overturn the election of President Biden, documents show. The lawyer, Michael P. Farris, is the chief executive of a group known as Alliance Defending Freedom, which is active in opposing abortion and gay rights. He circulated a detailed draft of the lawsuit that Ken Paxton, the Texas attorney general, ultimately filed against states including Pennsylvania, Georgia and Wisconsin in an effort to help President Donald J. Trump remain in office. Mr. Paxton filed the lawsuit on Dec. 7, after making some changes but keeping large chunks of the draft circulated by Mr. Farris. An additional 17 Republican attorneys general filed a brief with the Supreme Court supporting Mr. Paxton’s lawsuit. Within four days, the matter was rejected by the court.Reply
A month‐long study of the Pioneer Fund's activities by The New York Times shows it has given at least $179,000 over the last 10 years to Dr. William B. Shockley, a leading proponent of the theory that whites are inherently more intelligent than blacks. The money was paid through Stanford University, where Professor Shockley was a Nobel Prize‐winning professor of engineering science, as well as through his own personal foundation-a customary method of foundation disbursement. Dr. Shockley, co‐inventor of the transistor, has for years been collecting material on eugenics and dysgenics research. He said in a telephone interview a few days ago from his home in Palo Alto, Calif., that he had reached “the inescapable opinion that a major cause of American Negroes' intellectual and social deficits is hereditary and racially genetic in origin

Unions built the middle class in this country - and we couldn’t have gotten this infrastructure law done without them. pic.twitter.com/5MjEZpNXM0 - President Biden (@POTUS) November 20, 2021
“And I want to welcome everyone to the White House. And I really mean that. This is your house. It’s not hyperbole. It’s a fact. This is your house. I wouldn’t be here without you. That’s, again, not hyperbole. In my White House, you’ll always be welcome. You’ll always be welcome. Labor will always be welcome. You know, you’ve heard me say many times: I intend to be the most pro-union President leading the most pro-union administration in American history. When unions win, workers across the board win. That’s a fact. Families win, community wins, America wins. We grow. And despite this, workers have been getting cut out of the deal for too long a time
