[Character IC Information]
Character Name and Series: Akasuna no Sasori (mostly just called Sasori) from Naruto
Name in Role Play: Akasuna no Sasori
Race/Ethnicity: Ghost/Japanese
Age: Thirty-eight counting the years that he’s been dead, but he died when he was twenty-three, so he appears that age in his ghost form and even when he’s possessing his puppet.
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Asexual- no interest, and it’s hard to have a sexual drive when you’re a ghost inhibiting a puppet.

Appearance: He has slightly wavy, short red hair that is slightly flayed at the ends. His eyes are light brown and usually half-covered by his eyelids with his relaxed expression on. His body is made of wood, but it isn’t noticeable if Sasori wears things with high collars and longs sleeves- which he usually does. He has nails that are covered with purple nail polish.

His puppet body is fit-looking, but it doesn’t reflect his actual fitness, considering that his body can’t fluctuate with how much exercise he gets. He usually wears loose pants that won’t restrict his movement or show his leg joints while he’s wandering, but wears breeches in formal activities.

Personality: He’s normally rather relaxed-appearing, but that doesn’t reflect his personality. He gets impatient a lot- he doesn’t like waiting, or having to make other people wait for him. He’s not afraid to use vulgar words. Sasori doesn’t like it when he’s given vague or unclear answers, either, and normally responds to them with irritation.

His parent’s death influenced a lot of his personality today. It is believed that he ‘descended into darkness’ after their death, but Sasori wouldn’t agree if you said that. He can seem rather arrogant and times and has a high opinion of himself and his abilities- which tends to make him underestimate people quite a lot. He’s a bit of a loner, and tries to keep away from people.

Abilities/Weaponry: Sasori, with a wooden body, is unable to suffer from blood loss. He can turn his head around 360 degrees, but doesn’t do it in populated places because it is quite noticeable and takes a lot of energy.

While he was still alive, he built multiple weapons into the puppet, but is unable to use some of him due to a ghost’s inability to pick up heavy objects. Ones that he can use with a lot of concentration are light, poisoned throwing knives in a compartment on his leg. Alternately, he un-possesses his puppet body and searches for his poisoned weapons still on the puppet to throw them more easily, and being able to not be seen.

Weaknesses: Not mention the already present weaknesses of ghosts, Sasori has little to no resistant of fire, due to his wooden body and, similar to vampires, a lack of any bodily fluid. Within minutes of catching fire, his puppet body could easily be burnt to ashes if not put out quickly. If this would happen, his ghost would pass on. He tries to avoid fire altogether.

Another weakness, as said before, is his tendency to underestimate people.

Also, if he leaves his puppet body, he cannot travel far from it, for it is the object that he is haunting.

History: Sasori Akasuna was born in a relatively normal family in Japan. He was an only child, but grew extremely attached to his mother, father and his kind grandmother, Chiiyo. Chiiyo was a puppeteer and Sasori learned quite a bit from her. He had a lot of friends in school- but this all stopped when Sasori was eight. His father went out to war and never came back. His mother, soon wrecked with deep depression and shock, killed herself. Sasori started being raised solely by his grandmother.

This was when Sasori started becoming different. By the time he was ten, he was completely different- he yelled, he got angry at everything, and he often hit his fellow classmates for even looking at him wrongly. He blamed his parents’ death on the Japanese government and held a spiteful attitude towards them.

He grew into yet another different kind of kid when he started becoming a teenager- more silent, but in a way, even more brash and vulgar. He often disobeyed whatever his grandmother told him to do and stayed locked up in his room, building multitudes of puppets to spend his time on. He even built two puppets eerily resembling his mother and father, but showed them to no one- not even his grandmother.

This attitude continued until he was about fifteen, when he suddenly grew more polite and less rebellious. However, he remained locked up in his room during all of his free time, working on what he would call his ultimate masterpiece. It was called Hiruko- a puppet meant for battle.

He found ways to be able to make different lethal poisons and made his own weapons using household items. He worked until he was eighteen on the puppet, when he went to bed, waiting for tomorrow. Unfortunately, his dreams were wrecked when pranksters broke into their home and set it on fire- nearly killing Sasori, but the smoke suffocated his grandmother. His ‘ultimate masterpiece’ didn’t make it out of the flames.

Sasori was enraged by this point. Using money that he inherited and received from insurance money, he bought and apartment and started building up his stock of weapons and poisons again. He got a job when he was twenty, then started building yet another ultimate puppet- one a spitting image of himself.

He nearly finished it when he was twenty-three, when a freak accident occurred. As he was setting the last blade in place, he slipped slightly on the puppet’s foot, which had been laying on the floor. He fell on the blade he had been fitting in. He would have survived if the blade hadn’t been tipped with a lethal poison. He died, but came back as a ghost and started haunting his own puppet.

At first, he didn’t know what to do. He was initially shocked by his state. He had believed ghosts and the like were fictional, completely made up- this went against everything he had believed and learned. But then he decided to use it for his advantage, and possessed his puppet. He continued living as he had, excluding the difficulties of being a ghost and making sure no one touched farther than his wrist, where they would notice the wood texture.

However, fifteen years after his death, one day, a co-worker noticed that nothing had changed about Sasori at all during the three years that the co-worker had worked there. He inquired into this, but Sasori ignored him. Sasori packed his things and decided to move far away, where no one would recognize him.

Allupato seemed like the perfect place. He went there, bought a small home and got a new job. To this day, no one has noticed his irregularities to an extreme amount other than that one co-worker. He has associated himself with a secret group, but its intentions are shrouded in mystery.
