I love it so far. The words are smooth and the peripheral details involving Sakurazukamori are nice. Subaru throwing up over the fax is a good detail, too. Oh my God. This is so my favorite. This is wonderful characterization of Subaru. I adore how you tackled the assasination and the death and the lingering presence of Fuuma at the edges of the fic. You handle the essence of killing so easily. People are fragile. People are so fragile. They are easy to kill. It’s mind-shattering. I would have liked the ideas this approaches in any situation.

Despite being edgy about Subaru’s seemingly anxious attitude in the beginning, as opposed to his gothic one in X17, this one I like much better than the 2nd and 3rd. Why? I liked how you characterize them. I like how you set up a conversation in which you were able to juxtapose thoughts of then and now - of life as a Seal and an Angel. Impressions seems to be a theme. And I like quirky, cleaver dialogue. Ooh. I love the references to the decay of Tokyo. Tokyo - the city - is one of my favorite “characters”… The bit with Saiki was an odd question after all that, but oh well. I suppose you have your reasons. I’ll end with the fact that I enjoyed that bit of characterization between the two of them.

Pretty language again. @.@ This is amusing. I like you you’re portraying Subaru so far. Almost afraid to approach what’s out of his element. *snick* It was all right in the end. I liked it. Subaru had a bit of a backbone.

I really liked it. I liked the setting. I adore outside views, so to speak. And Nataku/Kazuki is adorable. Though, thanks to kuropi whispering in my ear, I can’t shake the comparison of Kazuki to Pinnochio. @___@ My mind is really wandering today.

For some reason, I really like this focus on Fuuma. It’s very well done. I really like some of the words you used to decribe Subaru as well. And I don’t think he could become happy as an Angel (more or less because that happiness might elevate him to a Seal again, and able to create a kekkai), given that you are trying to create healing through Fuuma, I can understand why you wrote it that way. And this rendering of the couple is believable, but devoid of immense pain, and pain is what I like best. However, I can admit that the happiness is vaguely refreshing, even if it is not what I prefer.

On the whole: The only thing wrong that jolts me in Fuuma's lack of speaking about Kamui, since in X18, it is one of the main things that strikes me in his conversation with Subaru. Even if the characterizations are slightly skewed the fit the relationship, some of the writing is really good. I personally don't think it's how it would go between the two - talking about Seishirou and Kamui seems to be a big part of their interaction in X18 - but it is nice to read.
