A Fun Weekend
I hope that everybody had a great St. Paddy's Day. It was crazy here...I was sad that I didn't get to go ice skating for free, but I heard they ran outa skates anyways, so whatev...
Saturday morning Dave woke me up at 8am to go watch him run a race!! Who does that? he's crazy. Anyway it was fun taking pictures and cheering for him and I ran into my chem lab LA which was funny. Turns out that the race was supported by tourguard, a group I applied to join for next year, so that was sweet.
Later on, after I did a great amount of homework and fell alseep and Dave worked, we got back together and went to a powwow. It was all the way up by the Breslin Center, but we decided to walk it anyway. I got some really cool pics there and I got to see some dancing and hear the drums and much yelling. There were a lot of vendors and stuff selling cool things. I got an anklet. Dave said it was better last year though..Dan (Dave's roommate) was the one who really wanted to go, but we couldn't get a hold of him, so we went without him. We even called him after we got there and were gonna meet up with him, but I guess his phone died or something...anyways he's really mad that we didn't wait for him. He wouldn't talk to either of us today..it's sad really I hate being mad at ppl, I couldn't do it...
Today involved a lot of lounging. However, Dave and I decided to get outside and go walk around downtown Lansing..that was a bad idea thought b.c everything was closed, so we decided to drive around and get lost. I got us lost in a ghetto though and that was kinda scary...anyway we got outa the ghetto andd ended up on Jolly road so we followed that back to East Lansing. As we were driving we saw a sign for a nature park and of course we had to go check it out. It was awesome. We only go to spend about a half hour in the woods exploring b/c it was getting cold out, but we are definetly going back there. As we were leaving we saw 8 deer cross the path. They were beautiful. I love nature:)
Now I'm gonna go to bed and tomorrow another week starts...
