[Slight pause; he switches the video on to show himself. White robes with the hood pulled down to show his face freely for her benefit.]

Auditore. [He repeats patiently.]

[Even as he says this it is while he is in movement. It was further north than he was expecting but hardly took him much time. At the end of the district he left the safety of the rooftops to creep along the side of the buildings, on the look-out for monsters as much as a young girl. He kept out of the shadows, though, so that she could easily spot him since he was relying on her to trust him and reveal herself.]

[Polly wasn't worried much about monsters; she'd never seen one while she was alone, and was sure she could outrun one any day. So she was standing out in the middle of the sidewalk, next to a streetlight. Not a young girl, but a humanoid dog, wearing boys' clothes and looking rather androgynous. She looks around, as if waiting for someone.]

[Not exactly what he was expecting. On the plus side he was already familiar with the more odd residents of Discedo after having met an intelligent wolf and talking bird. But that seemed natural compared to the human-dog that was out on the sidewalk where Giovanni was expecting to find the young child. If it wasn't for the completely innocent and harmless aura she gave off with her natural body language he might have mistaken her for one of the resident monsters.

...But he didn't know what to do now. Was this the child he was looking for or someone else completely?

He decided to start by simply acting naturally enough while he walked in her direction. He couldn't tell whether it was a small boy or girl, and was uncertain what to call out. Maybe an Italian word wouldn't get him into trouble...]

[Ears perking at his voice, Polly turned, smiled, and waved.]

Hey, Mister! [It's the same voice from over the communicator, and thankfully un questionably female.

Polly quickly ran up to his side, ready to follow.]

[Oh, well, one problem eliminated. Make that two as he realizes he's quite sure its a she for certain now.

...Why a dog?

He smiles uncertainly at first but eases up as she gets near, oddly reminded of his youngest back home. Same peppy energy and eagerness. It makes it easier for him to pretend there isn't anything strange with this picture.]
