[ Character's Name ] : V Juri F
[ Character's Age ] : 24
[ Series ] : Yozakura Quartet
[ Canon Point ] : Volume 5, just after getting knocked out by a certain necromancer

[ History ] :
Juri is a nurse who is the head of the Sakurashin Town Clinic. The town she lives in is special due to the fact it's the only place where demons and humans co-exist peacefully, and that the mayor is actually a teenage girl. She cares a lot about the unique residents of the town, and tries to make sure everyone is in good health. She is also a town idol, and has a popular TV show called "The Juri Channel", which is more of a news broadcast and talk show than anything, and consists of her going through town and conversing with residents about current events. She is also good friends with the land god of the town, Yae, and they are often seen together. She plays a minor role in the story, and not much is known about her past, besides that before she became a nurse, she worked as an assistant for town mayor Hime Yarizakura.

Her first appearance is during a live airing of her show, where she decided to interview the townspeople of the recent shooter that has been terrorizing women. Unfortunately, she runs into the person responsible for the shootings, got caught off-guard, and is held hostage. Hime and the rest of her agency see this on TV, and manage to rush to the scene to save Juri before she could be killed.

She doesn't show up again until the next volume, where she treats a pair of twin children after they are crushed to near-death by an ogre named Touka, whom tried to save them from an out-of-control car by grabbing them, but couldn't control her monstrous strength. The twins, being vampires, easily recovered in minutes after Juri feeds them a few blood packs. Touka's older brother, Kyosuke, yells at his friend Akina for not doing anything to help Touka when he saw the whole thing. Finding Kyosuke getting way out of line and disturbing the peace in her clinic, Juri swiftly cuts his tie with a pair of scissors and asks him if she should cut his tongue too. Kyosuke falls silent and storms out of the clinic with Touka and Yae trailing after him.

She later gives Akina a check-up, and accompanies him when he decides to follow and give a pep-talk to Kyosuke. However, just as Akina and Kyosuke reconcile, another vehicle loses control, rolls downhill, and is about to hit the group. However, Yae slices the tires with her blades, and Juri pushes the car to a stop. She cheerfully chastises the driver for not checking the car before he drove it, and threatened to slice him up with her scissors if he does it again. She and Yae knew that someone had been purposely messing with his car.

A few days later, she goes to pick up and treat Hime after she was badly beaten from a sudden attack on a city by a mysterious old man and a group of skyscraper-sized monsters. When Hime regains consciousness, she attempts to leave to protect her town, but Juri stops her, telling her that she's been protecting the town for six years, and that the residents would forgive an hour of rest. Touched by this, Hime agrees and goes back to sleep, leaving Juri to watch over her and some paperwork. She finds a picture of when she used to work as Hime's assistant, and remembers the first day she and Hime met Touka and Kyosuke. She realizes that she has fallen asleep while reminiscing, and notices that exactly an hour has passed. She turns to the bed Hime was sleeping in, and finds that she's gone. Trusting that Hime and her friends can handle the situation, she flops onto the bed and takes a nap.

After the invasion is successfully driven off, she runs a check-up on Hime and Akina, who have taken most of the damage from the attacks. When Touka drops by, Juri advises them to learn how to control their strength. Hime refutes this, saying that her physical strength is great. Juri tells her that isn't what she meant, and challenges Hime and Touka to an arm wrestling match at the same time. Much to their surprise, Juri easily defeats them to the point of actually flipping them both before she slams their arms on her desk. She then tells them the secret of how a human like her can overpower two demons, explaining that even if one had incredible physical strength, they needed to learn how to fully utilize their muscles and joints so that they don't strain themselves.

After a few weeks, she helps out Hime with fixing a broken street sign, and notices that a Jiang Shi (a type of zombie that can only be active with a magical tag) named Rin, whom was passing by to deliver ramen, looked very pale and tired. Juri, under the impression that Rin has a cold, asks Hime to escort Rin home so she can rest, and that she'll fix the broken sign in the meantime. She also requests that if Rin's condition gets worse, she should be sure to visit the clinic. As Juri is about to repair the sign, she notices that it hasn't broken off, but has mysteriously rotted in half.

Later that day, Juri finds Rin on her knees on her way to the clinic. Concerned, she tells Rin that they should go to the clinic, and tries to help her up. Suddenly, Rin grabs Juri's wrist and throws her into the air. Noticing an incoming car as she's sent flying, Juri vaults off the vehicle to help her land on her feet. She manages continue counter Rin's attacks, noticing that the girl wasn't acting like herself. Kyosuke and Touka notice the fight, and go to investigate. They are attacked promptly by Rin, and Juri tells them to take off Rin's name tag, which was keeping her corpse mobile. Touka manages to take the name tag off, but the group is surprised when they find out that Rin is still moving. Rin is eventually knocked out by her guardian who is also the owner of the ramen shop she worked at.

Juri and the others take Rin to the clinic, and tells everyone that she'll keep watch over Rin and investigate the reason why she suddenly went berserk. As she busies herself attending to her patient, she suddenly gets ambushed from behind and is knocked out. Her attacker was Rin's former master, a necromancer named Zakuro, and was the one controlling Rin to attack everyone.

[ Personality ] :
Juri is mostly a cheerful person, constantly smiling and giving her fellow town residents advice on health or other subjects. She smiles so much that even when she's annoyed or angry with someone, she'll continue smiling, but physically threatens them at the same time. Due to this, Hime and her friends describe Juri as the scariest person in town along with Yae. Juri enjoys giving the males she knows cute nicknames like "Kyo-chan" and "Aki-chan". She can also tell when someone's lying, and likes to wrangle the truth from them by doing things like twisting their arm.

She truly cares for the well-being of the townspeople, and whenever someone is hurt, she rushes to the scene right away to treat them. When she fails at protecting someone, she becomes disappointed in herself, and quickly acknowledges her weakness. She doesn't like people pushing themselves too hard, and constantly tells everyone not to strain themselves or take on more than what they can handle. Her value of this advice is evident when it's shown that one of her hobbies is taking naps, which can last almost ten hours a day, and also stopping Hime from leaving the clinic to fight by body slamming her.

[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Since Juri is the nurse of a town where humans and demons exist, she is very knowledgable of treating various conditions, from simple papercuts to preventing your atoms dissolving into another dimension. Whether someone's a human, zombie, vampire, or whatever, Juri probably has some vague idea of how to treat whatever is ailing them.

Besides being a nurse, Juri is also somewhat a jack-of-all-trades. She sometimes participates as a staff member for town events, and helps out with repairing broken public property, such as street signs. On rare occassions, she also acts as a sort of peace officer, helping to stop fights or other disturbances in town. That's why besides carrying medical supplies in her first-aid bag, she also has things like building tools and anything else that she can fit in.

Despite being a human, Juri possesses superhuman strength and agility, and can even overpower a pair of demons in an two-against-one arm wrestling match. She can also catch or knock away objects flying at high speeds. She claims to owe this to fully utilizing her muscles and bones, as well as using opposing force and gravity to her advantage. Due to her occupation, however, she usually doesn't use her strength to attack, but rather to defend herself and subdue people with the least amount of bodily damage as possible.

However, since she is a normal human, if she's caught by surprise, and doesn't have time to act, she has the same vulnerabilities as any human being would. Which means things like guns and blades would have a huge advantage over her.

[ Other Important Facts ] : No one knows what the V and F in her name stands for as of yet. She also wears reading glasses when doing paperwork.
