... ow, stupid rock.

Geez, here again? I was really looking forward to having some kind of afterparty with the XBox, but I guess this works too. Kinda.

Guys? Please tell me you're here, because chainsawing a random thirteen year old instead of Eli over Live is no fun.

Wait, shouldn't it be me coming to get you? You know, seeing how that'd probably be slightly faster.

ooc: NP!

If you think so. If you're not too tired from the fight, I mean. Kate and Tommy and I are here, in the same apartment as before.

Same apartment? The real estate market here must suck.

And I'm never too tired. Okay, that's a huge lie, but a simple teleportation spell shouldn't be too bad.

All our stuff was still here, we weren't really gone for long. A week-ish.

Don't hurt yourself. It's really not a big deal for me to fly out to get you.

Hey, you don't have to worry about me. I'll be there faster than you can say 'I want to be at the lair... or something'

ooc: switchover to action?

[This is Teddy. This is the living room. This is Teddy pacing like a... thing that paces in the living room. And fiddling with the hem of his shirt. It's one thing to prepare yourself to last forever if need be without the person you love, and entirely another thing to wait five seconds for them to appear.]

C'mon, Billy...

[This is Billy, who would be smoothing out his clothes if he hadn't forgotten about appearances in his excitement. Instead of knocking, he gives the door handle a slight jiggle, just in case someone forgot to lock.]

Anyone home?

[Billy could probably be excused some roughness around the edges, considering the battle he had just stepped out of, but it wasn't as though Teddy was going to notice anyways. Rushing to the door, flipping open the deadbolt, and yanking open the door.]

You're here.

[Frantic excitement has given way to bone-deep relief, and maybe his voice sounds a little shaky when he throws his arms around Billy and drags him into a crushing hug.]

[If it had been any situation other than this one, Billy probably would have had a funny comeback, but it's definitely not the time for that. It's best to keep Teddy reassured for now.]

Yeah. Never meant to take so long, especially after all of that.

It's not your fault.

[Letting out a long sigh and relaxing his hold somewhat. Not enough to let go, mind you, but perhaps enough room to let Billy breathe?]

I missed you. I missed you before the battle which made it worse.

[Breathing's always a good thing.]

Yeah. Talk about bad timing on the Skrulls part, ruining what was a perfectly great day out.

How long has it been?

[In a quieter voice. Not that he thinks he'll like the answer. Call it morbid curiosity, or something.]

Two weeks.

[A little bit sheepish.]

Not as long as you were here without me, but it still felt like longer. Considering... well, the battle, and not getting to see you much before then.

[And as an afterthought, leading Billy backwards into the apartment so he can close the door.]

Seriously? Someone's gotta figure out what's up with the time stream here.

[Moseying on after Teddy, and of course the first thing he notices besides the fact it looks strangely cleaner than before they left, is the wii.]

Dude, it's the wii.

Yeah, and I bought us a X-Box 360 for Christmas.

[Realizes his grinning ridiculously and tries to tone it down a little bit and failing.]

It's really weird to come back and have three more years in the space of a week. Nothing's changed.
