so go into some 3-6 hour meetings yesterday. only about 2 hours today but another full day tomorrow regarding this project.
we are going national.
its a good news/bad news deal
good news = texas + me = work
bad news = a-z
they asked if i would be willing to travel to do site surveys in a year. mark asked to fly me out to put me back in training in Feb., March and April on some of the Iperia and advanced Sylantro stuff since vPX is all we plan on a national level right now. well that and data T1s.
for the network we are going to peer with a Tier1 provider(level 3) so we will be as good as the baby bells for IS. pretty exciting stuff. we are getting our first metro-e pipe /in the office/ in a few weeks... 30-45 days.
metro-e = gigabit IS
(even though reading back on this post in 2 years everyone will know what metro-e is, this is pretty exciting stuff now a days)
so yeah. the job. its all astronomical in scope compared to what we are now. its conceptually going to be something big. sunrocket kind of big; but for business. i am core to what we are in south Florida - imagine nationwide in 18 months. imagine the 'global' goal of 7-10 years...
biggest most exciting things are the next 60-90 days.
the SL2s coming in. we are the first UNE provider doing it. should be a bumpy road being a test dummy for all this but enticing.
the M-e. and getting the first one in late dec from corp<->nap.
lots of a-z
