Hey look at me, I'm in Hayward

I'm staying with Chi and her family...it's strange being here, I feel a little bit like a burden, but they've tried to make me feel as welcome as possible...when I had my first dinner with them Saturday night, I saw something on the table that looked interesting yet horrifying and turned out to be exactly that: CHICKEN FEET!! ahhh....they tried to make me eat it...coaxing me with "c'mon...just one toe?" haha but to no avail...but i watched, intrigued, as chi made her way thru each foot, crunchy cartilage and all hehe

the weather up here is freakin COLD...it's a good thing, compared to the horrible sauna it was at home, but good lord, i wasn't prepared...i didn't bring enough warm clothes, nor a jacket...but Chi's brother Chiwide thankfully lent me his oversized faded black sweatshirt that he will never get back hehe being here reminds me a lot of staying with my grandparents in england b/c of a) the weather b) close proximity to stores, restaurants, etc. c) their basic cable and having to watch shows i'd never dream of watching at home such as drew carey and dragnet is like in england where i'm forced to watched shows that are british and therefore i don't usually see d) their house itself is like my grandma's flat, all one floor, a little garden out back, same yellow tiles, etc. anyhoo, being here so far hasn't been bad...i rode chi's way to small bike for me to the park and we played Horse and she won and i went on swings and got a headache/afro and we went out and bought ice cream and her driving me around is cool cuz i'm not used to that, she never had a car in berkeley...

the weather isn't significantly changing my mood tho...angie said it's a little warmer in berkeley, so when i go there tomorrow till thursday, mb i'll get a little happier...one can only hope...jeez

k i'll wrap this up...miss u guys! bye for now
