Seriously. I don't. For those of you not in Oregon, the current temperature in OR has been in the single digits. It snowed on Friday. I made it to work and only slid a little going around the corner to get into the work parking lot. I went home way early because it was still snowing at 4pm and 7inches is A LOT of snow in the Willamette Valley. The only place that is supposed to see anything near that much snow is the mountains.
We're supposed to have icy conditions tomorrow. The snow hasn't melted. I love to look at it but I hate not being able to get anywhere in it. I'd feel better if my county/state was actually equipped to deal with the snowy conditions, but again, mountains. Unless you live in one of the pass areas, there are not trucks plowing snow and icing the roads so you can actually see what lanes your in. Which honestly, is the more terrifying part of driving.
My co-worker is coming to get me in the morning since she lived in Colorado and has more experience driving in the snow. Hubby will come get me at 5pm. I wish they would just close the office tomorrow though. Darn near every other city agency and school is closed.
I suppose I should get ready for bed. Time to crawl under the pile of blankets again.
