a bad postmodern moment

Licking envelopes can lead to many existential thoughts:

when I eat carrots, do I accidentally leave little flecks of carrot on the strips I lick? and if I do, does this give pause to the person who opens the missive? OR do they just think "oh gross. whoever licked this was eating carrots?"

But I like to think that even that is something - that I've gotten them to realize hey, a person licked this envelope.

A person who was eating carrots. Gross.

Or what about the time I was eating dark chocolate, and the sealer turned a funny shade of brown?

would you rather have your envelope sealed by chocolate smudge, or carrot fleck?

po-mo moments, licking envelopes, work
