Actually, I think this may apply to many kids who had PE or Gym in the 1970s (and possibly earlier). Yes, yes, we all know I hated gym. But this is an odd memory I have tried to describe to people over and over for a while and almost nobody had heard of it. Even busli and ironkite raised an eyebrow at me ( Read more... )

Mr. Wood put on in gym class at Granby Elementary in Norfolk! Virginia Beach schools didn't have it though, because they were built later.

I must have been too young for that.
But I do remember some recoding of some guy saying "Up, up, down, down" that we had to "work out" to in Elementary School.
