To round out my Christmas in Mississippi experience today I got my hair cut and afterwards, practice target shooting!
At the hair salon, I asked for the back to be trimmed up - she did a good job, and asked if I wanted her to dry it too - I said "sure!". She then asked the million dollar question, "do you like your hair BIG?" (which sounded more like "do yew lak yer heer BEEG?") I of course responded with an enthusiastic "yes!!" and ended up with a fabulous diner-style bouffant. Hahahahahhaa.
Afterwards my dad taught me how to shoot his airsoft pistol on the back porch. It's really nice, and hefty. He had a paper target with a little net, about 9 inches across and a small gel target about 6 inches wide, which the BBs would stick to, then slowly roll down. I"ll admit I only got about 1/2 of them on the target, but I did get a bullseye on the gel target!
I also finally got to drive my mom's mini which was fun - the car handles very well (it better for a race car) and the pickup was really fast, but I wasn't able to go fast since we were driving around on the base (surely part of my mom's master plan). Have a nice new year!
