mexicans-well tonight was a fun time. went to jesse's house to hang out with the mexicans once again because i am SO cool like that. its so much fun when im with them cuz i actually get to use something that i learned in school in the real world. haha. they tried teaching me my favorite little mermaid song...in spanish. i couldnt do it, it was WAY too much for one night. i guess Lalo is going to write down the lyrics for me that way i can learn it and sing it. i sang them my favorite song too. travelin soldier by the dixie chicks. haha i felt really good about myself and my voice after that because like...everyone stopped talking to listen to me and they were like omg steph that was so good, sing us another one! haha it was fun.
other people-so jesse, danielle, and kraig were there too. we all hung out a lot too cuz we're basically the same age. actually im older than all of them but still we had a good time. haha we were like wrestling eachother and all this good stuff fun times fun times. so the guy that lives across the street from jesse has 2 sons. well we were talking about horse back riding, and danielle was like, aww horseback riding hurts so bad. so jesse and kraig both say "how can it hurt if you have nothing down there?!" well duh guys we have bones down there, it gets bumped hard enough its gunna hurt. lol well the youngest of the neighbors boys all of a sudden goes, "my daddy has a rash down there from horse back riding!" omg it was the funniest thing i had like EVER heard and i couldnt stop laughing. yeah you all are prolly like wow that wasnt funny but w/e we all thought it was.
on another note-since jesse's family is leaving this week, and so are we (FOR CALIFORNIA BY THE WAY!!) my mom decided that everyone that was at the anayas house tonight, is gunna be at my house on monday because apparently we are having a cookout now. weird man. haha anyways it should be fun. i suppose she'll be inviting a few other people, like the santoras but im happy about that cuz i love that family. i guess danielle doesnt though. that kinda pisses me off because she sits there and disses them infront of me and im like hey theyre my friends. whatever. im over it. i like them and thats all there is to it. haha i might be going to mexico next summer (its a long ways away but still it could happen) and im wicked excited about it. so i hope you all enjoyed my entry and im gunna end it with the loveliest song.
Two days past eighteen
He was waiting for the bus in his army green
Sat down in a booth in a cafe there
Gave his order to a girl with a bow in her hair
He's a little shy so she gives him a smile
And he said would you mind sittin' down for a while
And talking to me,
I'm feeling a little low
She said I'm off in an hour and I know where we can go
So they went down and they sat on the pier
He said I bet you got a boyfriend but I don't care
I got no one to send a letter to
Would you mind if I sent one back here to you
I cried
Never gonna hold the hand of another guy
Too young for him they told her
Waitin' for the love of a travelin' soldier
Our love will never end
Waitin' for the soldier to come back again
Never more to be alone when the letter said
A soldier's coming home
So the letters came from an army camp
In California then Vietnam
And he told her of his heart
It might be love and all of the things he was so scared of
He said when it's getting kinda rough over here
I think of that day sittin' down at the pier
And I close my eyes and see your pretty smile
Don't worry but I won't be able to write for awhile
I cried
Never gonna hold the hand of another guy
Too young for him they told her
Waitin' for the love of a travelin' soldier
Our love will never end
Waitin' for the soldier to come back again
Never more to be alone when the letter said
A soldier's coming home
One Friday night at a football game
The Lord's Prayer said and the Anthem sang
A man said folks would you bow your heads
For a list of local Vietnam dead
Crying all alone under the stands
Was a piccolo player in the marching band
And one name read and nobody really cared
But a pretty little girl with a bow in her hair
