fires, etc.
last nite there was a fire at deanne's apartment building. she and chuckola are ok, and they got the cats out. a lot of her stuff is going to be water and smoked damaged though. the fire was in the apartment beside her from what i understand. the woman who lived there was killed. deanne seemed to be handeling this very well, i would be freaking out. the reason i mention this is because fire is my biggest fear. it always has been. my youngest memories are of me having all my stuffed animals under the blankets with me so that if i had to run out i could take them all (yessss, i know now that wouldn't be possible but i was totally diggin it then) all this happened at like 12 last nite. then i couldn't get to sleep because i kept thinking WHAT IF THIS HAPPENED TO US. behn said he'd grab me before the computer (<3, hahah) i couldn't react that quickly, i'd have no idea what to do. ugh ughhhh. chuck and deanne got her cellphone, her contacts (she was sleeping) and the cats. when they came to our house our place smelled like smoke from their jackets, so i can only imagine how bad it'd be inside her apartment. the red cross gave her some things and gift cards for wal-mart and sobeys. that's nice, but holy shit i hope her stuff is ok. this is really scary to me. i feel wicked bad for her :(
otherwise, i'm on my lunch break at my sweet new job that i love. i don't have internet time EVER. but today the lunchroom is closed for a session, so here i am. i need an mp3 player, it's sad to work without music.
