Hey everyone,
PETA is going to be in Detroit this weekend and I wanted to see if you might be available to protest with us! We’re bringing our “Human Meat Package” demonstration to town on Friday, August 26th, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Campus Martius Park, on the Monroe Street side. Everyone who attends will be rewarded with 750 Street Team points!
Billions of animals every year have their bodies chopped up, labeled as this cut or that, and wrapped in cellophane for the supermarket meat case. PETA is encouraging people to stop viewing animals as walking entrées, noting that animals raised for their flesh have personalities and feelings and form families and friendships if given the chance.
All the leaflets and posters needed for the demo will be provided, so all you’ll need to bring is yourself and anyone else who is interested in attending! Please remember to dress conservatively, as the focus should be on our message and not on our appearance.
