So I think I have/am in the process of developing some sort of Adult Attention Deficit Disorder and/or memory problems. I used to read all the time and now I can't keep focus long enough to read more than a couple pages. I also have a lot of problems absorbing/remembering what i've read. Reading used to play a big part in my life but now I can't even finish a whole news article half the time.
I also have a hard time remembering things and keeping track of things. Like i'll ask people 3 times in one day what they had for lunch and lose track of my thoughts all the time. Like I'll forget what i was talking about in the middle of a sentence or just get on a wild tangent part way through a sentence and not be able to go back to finish the initial thought. If I want to remember to do something when I get home or whatever I have to either write it on my hand or just constantly repeat it in my head until I do it.
Does anyone else have these problems? Have you been able to overcome them in any way? Do you have any solutions? How can I be a more effective reader? How can I regain some form of mental clarity? I've always been a bit "flaky", but it's never been this bad.
I'm sick of being scatter brained all the time and never being able to back up anything that i say because I can't remember what it was that i read about, etc.
HELP!
