(no subject)
so it was a pretty fun weekend.. well maybe no so much the first part.. but overall enjoyable..
saturday i went to jim's funeral.. it was a great service.. great speeches depicting his love for gadgets, gemstones, guns, and blowing shit up.. a fantastic speech by his childhood friend sam, and an "unorthodox" speech by Nathan Chinn; "I had to say but fuck at Jim's funeral" hahaha, Jim woulda loved it.. afterword we all converged at jim's mom's house at her request, she's a real sweet women.. was out there smoking/drinking (ironically jim did niether) and kicking it with us young folks just as if she was one of us.. suprisingly i saw my sophmore year chemistry teacher from vance, Dr. Carter, at both the funeral and the thing at jim's house.. turned out he was friends with jim's grandmother, talked to him a bit, that was entertaining..
afterwords i went home and prepared for my trip to asheville.. i had a fantastic time up there this weekend.. <3 kat.. i especially liked Kat's best friend Meghan, and her boyfriend joe.. met them the first night up there at Hookah Joe's.. (where there was a sweet band playing, I wish i remembered the name cause it was a real nice ambient sound, and the drummer was fucking insane).. i extended my hand upon meeting meghan and she said, "uhhh no. gimme a hug" and i knew right away i was gonna like her.. afterwords we went to joe's appartment and drank a bit.. apparently meghan doesn't drink too often (only her 2nd time getting tipsy??), and joe got hammered off the rum i brought.. but we had a grand ol' time, and i felt right at home with those guys like i've known them for a while.. the next night they made everyone dinner, and a few other of kat's friends came over, including mr. wesley wiessenberger who i haven't seen in years.. and a drunken party proceeded, full of dancing, card games, and fun.. needless to say, i had a blast in asheville
i really dig Kat.. i hope i'm doing everything right (i still worry sometimes).. having her best friend say repeatedly that i'm "a keeper" i suppose is a good sign.. i dunno, i just second guess a lot of things sometimes.. things i probably shouldn't worry about.. though i'd like a second opinion..
all in all, a baller trip.. now lets hope for some snow.. i wanna play in it
