Random Update
So what have I been up to you ask yourself (or not really asking yourself)?
Falling in love (for real)
Hanging out with actual rockstars
Putting together a non-profit organization for charitable contributions from the punk community
Organizing a major benfit concert for Hurricane Katrina victims
Yeah, I'm actually falling completely crazy in love with a girl I've been dating and I couldn't be happier. It's crazy. I gave up on ever falling in love again and lo and behold, here it is, staring me right in the face. It's so fucking awesome.
In the last week I've hung out with members of My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, and Midtown. It seems like all the girls I know are dating real rockstars these days. It's been really cool getting to know these guys. It's great to know that not every musician that makes it lets it go to their head.
The last two are hand in hand basically. It started with putting together a benefit concert for charity. I am looking to draw thousands of people with the biggest names possible from the tri-state area (think your My Chem's, Taking Back Sunday's, From Autumn To Ashes', etc.). Things have been progressing slowly, but it's definitely looking promising. From there, I decided to take it a step further and set up and actual company. It's called Punks Care. Growing up a punk, I always got looked down upon. Be it my clothing choices or my music preference, it seemed like the word "punk" always had negative connotations. So I set up this company to show that punks aren't all they appear to be. The site (punkscare.org) will be up in about a week's time. With a little help from some new friends, I'm gonna have some really rad stuff to auction off for charity. I'm also getting those hip, cool silicone cause bracelets to sell. All proceeds from auctions/items/concert will go directly to charity. I just really want to help. I'll write in more detail later. Hope you're all well.
