It's a long way back to a place once called home....

So another entry to keep this this going. I guess I do it for nostalgia's sake. I stopped keeping my own personal journal a long time ago, and writing in this thing just keeps up my good memories. Keeps me synched with all those good time I had with Lauren, Raquel, and Carly, all the people I wish were still who I remembered them to be, and all the ups and downs I've endured.

That being said, it's been a good start to the semester. Already a third of the way through, and though last night was the first consecutive hours of sleep I've had in more than two weeks (which felt amazing!), I'm feeling good about everything. I've been completely sober for almost a month now, school is more or less enjoyable, I've started meditating, practicing more often, picked up double bass seriously, and business is picking up with the studio. Not to mention having Joe at the house has been a real treat.

Even the anxiety is starting to subside. Shit, it's Valentine's Day, and I'm not even depressed. Correction, my plans tonight are going to the shrink, then going to the Slackers show either alone or with Joe, and I'm not even depressed. It's a long departure from the Austin psyched of years before.

It doesn't hurt that I found Defiance, Ohio. Listening to The Fear, The Fear, The Fear makes me feel like everything is alright. So it is
