wednesdays
wednesday is my favorite day of the work week because my boss doesn't work and I get to run the office and do things at my own pace. I really like my boss, but I value the time away from him. He's got crazy a.d.d. and runs a little manic most of the time. It doesn't help that he refuses to take a lunch break so he can leave early and is always hopped up on rockstar and cookies.
Today is veterans days so the cleaning lady thinks she has the day off and the maintenance guy is at a vets event so it's just me 100% all alone. I made the cookies, which is my favorite part of my job, and turned on the fireplace. I wish I could curl up on the lobby couch instead of sitting here at my desk, but the whole office smells delicious so I don't mind so much.
I do little things to keep my job interesting. I count to five before I answer the phone. I draw little cubes on post it notes in different colors. I clip coupons I'll never ever use. I make impossible to do lists and I flirt with my residents. I love working in apartments.
