So it's looking like it's official, unless something unexpected happens CS will be merging with Elysium on Thursday. The officers of both guilds know for the time being but I don't really know who else has been clued in. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and I can start actually having some sort of expectations of success in 10man raids again.

You know, if it doesn't work out, Blight is still recruiting pretty much anything. Blight dog would approve of you. :)

We'll definitely consider it if things don't work out with Elysium. This is pretty much our last attempt at staying on Ravencrest, there's really nowhere else worth going to if Elysium doesn't work.
Getting to play with you again would be awesome too so coming over to your server is a definite possibility if things go sour here.

Since I've clearly not been around much, why not FD over Elysium? Or did FD not want CS peeps? :(

Merging with FD was talked over as well but I think Dashivo wound up deciding against it for whatever reason. Mel & Michael & I talked it over and decided that we didn't especially like his attitude on pwrs lately anyway so it probably would have been a bad move. I would have preferred that all three guilds merge together but people in FD have been pretty heavily against that. I'm kinda starting to wonder if FD is even going to be around for much longer though, they're kinda in a place like where CS was at when we joined. Their active membership is dropping off and I'm not really sure how much longer they're going to be able to keep running 10s without recruiting a bunch of people.

Elysium has always been a fairly consistent guild and Andy has always been there for us. I don't especially care for some of the people in the guild but I look at our chat channel as more of a guild than anything else these days anyway.

So, is PWRS still going to exist? Or is it going away in favor of the merge? Or is this to make 10mans smoother when it comes to getting a group together, etc?

For the time being PWRS will still be around, though it really would have been ideal to have FD merge with us and just start doing 25s as a guild. I'm not really sure what the plan is for Cata, I'm assuming we'll want to start doing guild 25s but I'm not sure it's been discussed yet.
