Dane's version of Demetri's joke was lame. Demetri's was pure gold, as most of his jokes are.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that the joke was stolen. The basic punchlines are the same, but they accentuate them differently. Its pretty much like any other over used comedic situation.
I have to admit though, demetri martin was freaking hilarious.
