Dyeing Fun
We had a dyeing workshop on Saturday at the store, we had three people who came to dye and then
Nathania and I did some dyeing for our hand-dyed line of yarn -- Purl Up and Dye -- which I set and rinsed tonight. 20 skeins of sock yarn, 7 skeins of Aran Rambouillet/Mohair, two 1/2 pound skeins of Panda Cotton, one random skein of Rowan Merino Aran, and three skeins of handspun. All these skeins are now hanging over my bathtub on a rack to dry. I'm hoping I'll have them completely dry by Thursday and then I get to bring them back and re-skein them. I love the re-skeining process, it's so awesome to see how they color up when they are re-skeined. We got some really lovely colors this time and some fun combinations as well.
Now my back hurts and my feet hurt from standing and bending over the bathtub to rinse yarn and hang it to dry. Ray is here - my wonderful massage therapist - and I am going to see him and then fall down in bed. Tomorrow is my day off and I'm going to sleep in!
