So, it's Sunday. In one week, I will be unemployed. Why, you ask?
Because I put in my two weeks at Carrabba's LAST Sunday. I'm fed up with the place and there's nothing else to it. After three years serving tables and killing my arm and shoulder muscles, I've had enough. More than one thing has led me to this. Perhaps the fact that Jen got the boot was the BIGGEST decision-maker (being that she's my friend and all), I'm also unhappy with the fact that I've given them my availability FIVE times this summer (because they have lost it FOUR of the FIVE times!) and they can't get it straight! Or, perhaps, the fact that we are now going to be open for lunch on Saturday has something to do with it. It wasn't one thing that made me furious, it was many. So I put in my notice.
I've managed to get quite the number of applications in, and much to my dismay, only TWO have contacted me. One, Best Buy, which I am not incredibly excited about, and the other, Rite Aid, which is right down the road and would be very nice. I have an interview with Rite Aid on Thursday, I'll possibly update all of my faithful readers later (like I have any, sheesh).
On a random note, I dyed my hair black last Tuesday. It's a color I haven't explored yet and I think I like it a lot.
But anywho.
I went to the German-American Festival this weekend with Joanna, Mike, and Joanna's friend Sam(antha). We drank some bier in the Wein Garten! Ja! Toll! It was fun.
And last week marked the beginning of my FIFTH year of college. Mind you, after this year, I still have two more to go. But I think that this major will pan out for me, my classes are actually kind of interesting... well, all except for the Intro to Literary Theory and Criticism class. My teacher is a certified DOUCHE-BAG. He basically tells us that there is NO POINT TO KNOWING THIS CRAP! Biggest waste of my time EVER. But if I don't pass it, I can't advance into my English classes that I need to graduate in a timely fashion. For all I know, I may only be taking one class next semester so that Sam can focus on his Methods classes and I can work my tail off since he will basically be unemployed.
I'm so full of things to talk about...
Lots of oddball things have happened. Everyone I know has decided it's time to get married. My little sister is engaged (which I'm happy about because I like Andy Lowe a lot!) and Sam's sister is engaged (and I, for once in my life, will not divulge into my thoughts on THAT). Sarah and Matt were married August 6th, and their wedding was BEAUTIFUL. (samadamsphotography.blogspot.com <~~~check it!) In light of the recent wedding of the new Lawrence's, Sam and I have decided that at some point in the near future (hopefully next summer, anyway) we'll start our own photography business! It's lots of money for something that we both enjoy.
Anywho.
It's a little after 8 now, I should run because I want to do a little reading tonight before Sam and I go out with Jen to Fridays to indulge in some Friday's Ultimate Mudslides!!!! WOOHOO!!!
I'm sure I'll have more to write this week!
Bis Spaeter!
