BaieWhile everyone is on the edge of their seats, all eyes and ears on the Pacquiao-Margarito boxing match, I'm in my bedroom watching some old movies I've never seen and planning the things I'm going to do next week. Since I'm ending my Dermatology rotation on the 15th and will soon be rotating to Ophthalmology on the 16th up to the 22th, I have only a limited time to learn everything I couldn't understand back in my 3rd year. But the thing is, they'll close their out-patient service from Nov. 17 to 20. That's from Wednesday up to Saturday. And Nov. 16 was just declared as a non-working holiday therefore, the OPD will also be closed. On Sundays, the OPD is always close. Leaving only the 22nd -- one day -- for me and my group to pick up anything from Ophtha. It sucks. Big time. I just know I won't be able to learn anything at all in this rotation.
It usually is a joy to have at least 1 to 2 days off. But when I only have 7 days in a rotation and I end up having a 6-day off, it's ridiculous! It is such a major pain because it's practically a week of no clerkship activity! There's no learning there. Zip. Zilch. Nada. It's like I will not be rotating in Ophtha. Like I just skipped the whole week.
Negative thoughts aside, at least I have the time to watch the latest Harry Potter, study for the written revalida coming in less than 2 weeks and work on the research paper. But that's it. As much as I want to spend my mini-vacation in malls, I can't because I'm terrified of the upcoming exam.
