staying up for days in the Chelsea HotelBy Monday next week, my first shift as a third year medical student officially ends. Three more additional shifts to go and I will be starting my clerkship. To make sure that really happens and I won't be delayed because I think I did badly in 2 subjects, I'll plan my time more wisely and try to follow the following:
- Read the lectures and topics in advance, most especially the lectures from the Pediatrics and Gynecology book.
- Never study in the bedroom because it makes me sleepy too soon for my tastes.
- Always have a cup of coffee and snacks nearby to get through the night.
- Set the alarm to go off 3 hours after taking a nap, The chances of being really awake after it has gone off are more probable than waking up after an hour because it might just end up with me sleeping again after turning the alarm off.
- Spend an hour at the most on the internet, surfing and checking my email.
