Wait... you're supposed to edit rants? Isn't that why they're called rants, silly lady? And Jesus, look at my fuckin' journal (and, unfortunately, a high percentage of my e-mails to you)! Dear Gods, if there was a way I could put it into the crappily drawn overdue (really, REALLY sorry, again :^( ) cards I send, I'm sure I would.

I'm so sorry about your grandmother. I hope and pray for help and peaceful (or closer to peaceful) transition for you all. *hugs*

And it's not dumping it on me if I ask or even if I don't-- friendship is being able to come to someone and vent. And, again, the Goddess knows I sure the fuck do it enough. And one day at a time is sometimes how you have to take it.

Lastly, thank you for interrupting your own well-deserved rant in your personal journal to comfort me about my latest crimoar bitchfest/pity party. ♥ Don't you ever, EVER act like you don't have any right to rant and/or vent to me or anyone else, ESPECIALLY not in your own damn journal, lady.

I wanna find pics of my kitchen stuff since I picked some "funky" (vintage looking) patterns and whatnot. BTW, as a nice happy place to visit, I'm not sure if you're familiar with Vixen Vintage but her posts and pics are generally happy and feature pretty things, if nothing else, a world where a woman can dress like it's the 1930s/1940s everyday. She works at a vintage clothing store (which hired her because she shopped there so much) which has to help, but still. Also, I covet the fuck out of her nifty ($600+) camera. There's also something about her physically that reminds me of you, although genetically, you're part pixie and I don't really see that with Solanah.

Yes, and they all adhere perfectly to the rules of grammar and usage; and the talent made apparent in your cards--not to mention the effort and essence put into them--somebody out there needs to wake up and pay attention. You already have so much experience, and you're giving yourself a full education on all aspects of the graphic novel, just with a library card.

Oh, and by the way, you don't throw crimoar bitchfest/pity parties; least of all when you're mourning somebody you've known for over half your life. (*tries to do the math*... I think.)

I really appreciate your support (well, duh). What also kind of helps (though in a "I-wish-it-weren't-happening" kind of way) is that my friend is going through a similar situation with her parents. So, it's like every thought and concern I bring up, she can completely relate. I told her how worried I was about taking away Grandma's dignity and if it was making her feel depressed and resigned to accept it. But she was well enough a couple days ago to make herself eggs and a cup of coffee, so hopefully she'll at least have some good days, too. I think we're going to try taking shifts at her house; mine being 8 am to around 4 or so (coinciding with Alex's school schedule). I'm trying not to be afraid of being 'in charge'.

My grandmother's insurance only covers 4 weeks of in-home healthcare, so beyond that we'll have to see if we have to place her in a nursing home or not. Personally, I think that our best chance of getting as many 'good days' as possible would be for all of us to move in with her. And I know that's basically what we want to do, but this whole situation makes it really difficult to plan for the future. We have no idea what things are going to be like in a month.

I think I've seen your canisters in a posting. Were they brown and glossy with a cool diamond pattern cut into them? That could have been something else. It seems like there was a pic of something like that in a birthday post. That site makes me need to take out flood insurance on my keyboard (ba-dum-chh!). What happened to full skirts and high-waisted pants? They're way more flattering and they don't make it necessary to hitch up yer britches every time you stand up. Oh, I was looking at vintage posters on eBay, and happened upon one that was advertising a movie that we're both somewhat acquainted with. Then I found out there were quite a few advertisements for it.

Hee, hee. Anyway, I need to finish your letter and reassure you that your card blew my mind (it blew my mind). I hope you're doing okay and staying out of the rain. Dude, the year's almost over!

Whining with grammar/punctuation/spelling (mostly) Nazism is still whining. :^P

You're very kind about my scribblings (hey, at this point, at least I can call my job title "free-lance artist" rather than "woefully unemployed retail crone desperately out of work for too fucking long" which is rather long, anyway) and my kitteh. Hopefully I'll come to a point where I can see a black cat and not start sobbing.

That sounds... fucking rotten about your grandmother. Hope and love to you and your fam to get through it, honey. That's so hard. ♥

The canisters you're thinking of are actually what James got me which I use for pencils/nail files/the like.
My poor kitchenwares haven't seen the light of day in... almost eight years. :^( BAWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Those posters are hilarious. No wonder they're selling!

*huggles*
