YES, I'm still alive...
"Is it raining, is it snowing...is a hurricane a-blowing?"
OK so I can NOT believe that I went a whole effing week without electricity. And all because of that damned hurricane. I survived despite being dreadfully bored and miserable. But hey, we have it back now and that's all that matters. MMMM air conditioning. And my computer....and games. Wooo I was about to get absolutely SICK of board games.
And to make things worse, some damn ants got on me while I was sleeping. I had to sleep on our screened-in back porch to stay cool...and there was ants...so I got bit like three times, had an allergic reaction and they got infected. My eye swelled up like huge...my left one...well it was actually my eyelid. I went to the doctor and got three different kinds of pills to get it back to normal. It looks normal now but I did look like Quasimodo. Bwah.
Man...the damage around here is crazy. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before. There are huge trees uprooted everywhere! Like I'm talking enormous ones! And the stoplights were completely destroyed. Some of the gas station's roofs were tore up and the lines for gas have been INSANE! All these Louisiana people need to go home or go somewhere with more room!
Anywho....yeah it's been bad but at least we're not underwater.
